Who we are

“Loreto House is owned by Loreto Sisters and is run by a team of Sisters and local people.”

We are inspired by the vision of our foundress, Mary Ward, who desired that we be characterised by sincerity, freedom, justice and joy and that we work for the glory of God in all creation.

For St. Ignatius and for Mary Ward, daily life, the ordinary way of doing things, was viewed as the place where God works. God’s desire for us is revealed in the deepest longing of our hearts.
