As you follow the signposts to Loreto House, Linsfort, it is as if you are leaving one world behind – a world of noise and rush, a world of hassle and confusion – and you are being led towards another world – a world of quiet and calm, a world of peace and tranquillity.

As you come around the avenue to the house itself, you cannot help but be struck by the sheer magic of the location of this place, a place apart. Loreto House looks out over Lough Swilly - the Lake of Shadows – and then in the background and as far as the eye can see – the hills of Donegal stretch out in all their beauty and magnificence.
